About the Author

Wendy Lynn Decker is a writer whose debut novel, Sweet Tea, is inspired by her own family’s story. Drawing from her mother’s lived experience with schizophrenia and her journey as both daughter and caretaker, Wendy transforms deeply personal history into powerful fiction.

Her work highlights resilience, empathy, and the complexities of family bonds, sparking conversations that bridge personal experience and broader social understanding. Through storytelling, Wendy hopes to reduce stigma, honor caregivers, and create space for connection and healing.

Wendy is also the author of the middle-grade book, THE BEDAZZLING BOWL (ages 8-11). Her other work can be found in the Middlesex College Literary Journal, Tri-Town News, A Cup of Comfort for Women (Adams Media), Letters to My Mother (Adams Media), American Writers Review, and Spiritual Voice. Wendy is a member of AWP and SCBWI.
